Beyond Gender: Packed Week Ahead
Lisa Duval today, Quentin Van Meter tomorrow, Cori Cohn Wednesday, Ken Zucker Friday
It's going to be a busy week for Beyond Gender—we're recording interviews with four fascinating guests.
Today: Dr. Lisa Duval, a clinical psychologist who will be presenting "Misdiagnosing and Mistreating Fear: The Clinical Blind Spot in Working with Gender Dysphoria" at Genspect's upcoming The Bigger Picture conference in Albuquerque. Her work explores how fear is often overlooked in clinical work with gender-distressed individuals.
Tomorrow: Dr. Quentin Van Meter, a distinguished pediatric endocrinologist with over four decades of medical experience. At The Bigger Picture, he'll be discussing the effects of cross-sex hormones on the body.
Wednesday: Cori Cohn, a writer, podcaster, and advocate who co-hosts the Heterodorx podcast. He's been testifying before state legislatures across the United States and will present "Metaphysical Trends in Trans Rights Activism" at The Bigger Picture.
Friday: Dr. Ken Zucker, the renowned psychologist and former head of the Gender Identity Service at Toronto's Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. His decades of research on gender dysphoria in children has shaped much of our understanding of childhood gender identity development. Dr. Zucker is part of our original rebel series, which has featured pioneering voices like Dr. Stephen Levine and Dr. Paul McHugh.
Lisa Duval, Quentin Van Meter, and Cori Cohn will be speaking at The Bigger Picture conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on September 27-28, 2025 - reserve your seat now.

Stella, I wanted to send letters to my MLA or MP's on stopping puberty blockers on kids etc. Does Genspect have templates I can edit and use. Would it be important to cite - WPATH's leaked papers, CASS Review, failures of the Dutch Protocol?
Or what would you mention in a letter to my local political leaders?
I greatly appreciate Beyond Gender's transparency in referring to Cori Cohn as "he" in today's piece. However, given that Cori clearly looks like a woman in the photo that accompanies this post, it would have been helpful to those unfamiliar with him to note that he identifies as a trans woman, something he steadfastly does according to my sources.
