'keep males out of women-only spaces' sticker is an example of police 'straying into politically contentious matters'
"It's not the job of the police to decide that taking a photo is a hate crime."
The mainstream media in the UK is becoming increasingly engaged about trans issues.
I was proud to sign this letter ( https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/09/01/tavistock-clinic-whistleblowers-rishi-sunak-david-bell/- ) that highlights the issues relating to social transition in schools.
Another story to hit the news this week was the bizarre tale of a 73 year old former social worker who was cautioned by the police for - wait for it - taking a photo of a sticker. You can read my comments in this story (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12475885/Suella-Braverman-pensioner-trans-gender-police-sticker.html?ito=native_share_article-nativemenubutton ) and hear the debate that followed on Times Radio UK here (https://www.thetimes.co.uk/radio/show/20230904-18689/2023-09-04)
What a striking story, and thank you Stella for speaking up. And bizarre bizarre that a psychotherapist should have to be the voice of reason to defend democracy from authoritarianism. (No offense intended to Stella). Where are the politicians and social historians when you need them?!
