Stella, when you spoke up, I heard you all the way in Canada. You and Genspect were a lifesaver for me many years ago.
I think Canada’s cancel culture is probably like Ireland’s. It’s being frozen out, and then the burn of exposure and embarrassment, with no one to publicly stand with you, even though you know you’re speaking the truth.
Thanks for this illuminating article Stella. It's such a drag that that has happened to you. These are crazy times! I am one person in the United States who very much appreciates what you're doing and your integrity for standing up for the truth.
I’ve had “friends” terminate their friendship with me because of “my values”. If wanting to protect kids is a so beneath them, then I’m okay with their departure. And I will keep advocating for parents too.
I've paid a price for speaking up, and so have you.
And yes, me too: "But I don't regret it. Something was wrong, and I spoke up. If telling the truth means being cast out, so be it. I’d rather stand with integrity than stay silent and betray vulnerable people. And I know I’m not standing alone — because truth has a way of drawing people to its flame." I would rather be with those who value truth. Thank you Stella.
Is no one suing for medical mapractice? Why hasn't a group of de- transitioned people who suffered grievous harm banded together to do a class action lawsuit against the gender clinics and/or pharmaceutical purveyors? Or is this type of legal action only " a thing" in the U.S? A huge lawsuit will grab attention and make more people aware of the atrocities being committed as well as make medical providers more cautious. This is a shameful scandal, a big festering abcess in society, and need to be lanced and drained.
Cancel culture is indeed darkness & when it creeps up on you like it has, there’s just no way to be prepared. Throughout this whole mess I have seen this happen to so many. I’m forever in awe at the cruelty of it. Even though you know you’re speaking the truth, so hard to keep going.
Believe in the mantras! What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. And seriously…360 detransitioners on the books? How on earth can that be ignored. Shame on the Irish press or anyone turning a blind eye. Shame on.
And Genspect’s work, connections/resources have saved me anyways, that’s for sure
