This might also be relevant. It's a brain study that shows when the influence of homosexuality is removed from the study population, there were no sex differences in the brain patterns between cis and trans people (when compared with their biological sex counterparts). However all the trans people (male and female) showed higher levels of activity in the part of the brain where rumination and body disconnect happens.
