Thank you Stella, that's exactly what we are going through! And we also feel that keeping the boundaries is a huge issue, our kid is expert in triangulation. So many outside who just want to be kind... We've started writing emails to relatives, teachers and others reminding them of our boundaries (while putting our teen in cc). It seems as if it helps when we maintain transparency.

That is a brilliant way to ensure everyone involved is reminded of your boundaries, especially your kid!

What about those that have BOTH the compliant and meek, and the loud and angry traits? That kind of fits in with the Borderline traits, right? Mine has been loud and angry on the attack, and compliant and meek (or and and crying) on the defense, if that makes sense. It's been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, although she was a compliant kid who didn't mind sticking up for herself in appropriate ways before the gender stuff came along.

sharing a chunk of outraged. Looking at the Boston area famous McClean Hospital description of BPD - "confused about their sense of self" and "makes it difficult for a person to be comfortable in their skin" yet if they say they are trans then off to the medicalization track. How can these therapist and doctors not see the hypocracy - "she might have BPD but for sure shes a boy if she says so"

It would be great if you could do more about the explosive ROGD child. And the sexually trauma topic.

Definately resonates. Our daughter has always had big emotions, more so as she hit teen years and the Pandemic. I find that therapist are quick to diagnois BPD, and that scares me. Haven't heard much about the distinction of traits vs the diagnosis. As parents we have a DBT coach, but our daughter doesn't have a DBT therapist which I think would help her. She has a non affirming therapist who is very good. She also has PTSD from Trauma, is there an overlap with BPD and traits. Hate to google it as it all end with negative. It is exhausting.
