It’s such an important topic, as it’s the start of a limiting road ahead. Once socially affirmed, it’s so much more challenging to keep the path of natural development open and wide.
Super excellent episode and exactly what I was looking for to share with my daughters school choir board and directors. I started listening to Gender a Wider Lens when you had moved to video, so it was good to hear an earlier episode. Here we are in 2025 and all these points about social transition are crucial- you two were ahead of the game, or spot on--others are still catching up. Thank you! P.S. I need an episode to share about how those that have gone the distance with transitioning their child or other peoples children can never backdown because that would mean facing that they have harmed their child or others (Helen Joyce talks about it). Also, I believe these grownups shouldn't be in decision making positions that vote on and decide whether or not to implement gender theory practices, like boards or school administration due to bias--even seems like a legal conflict of interest issue.

Such a great topic. I wish more people listened to your advice.
